Highlights of BIFF2022
It was the first time in three years since the pandemic that BIFF2022 was held where buyers could also participate from all over the world and it ended with a great success. Participants stayed up late every night catching up and making connections and everyone had a sleepless but energetic few days.
I also vigorously ran between the venues for conferences, business meetings, and screenings to make the most of this first opportunity in three years.
One of the highlights of BIFF 2022 was the opportunity to experience a screening of director Koreeda's film "BROKER" with a stage greeting, shot in the host city of Busan.
Actor Song Kang-ho is best remembered for winning the Best Actor Award at Cannes for this film.
The film is directed by a Japanese director and shot in Korea with Korean actors. It is a wonderful collaboration beyond politics and histories between two countries. It difinitely was a memorable screening experience witnessing the filmmaking stories in Busan.

The overall result shows that animation sales still account for a large portion of the total, and that there is a certain level of demand for drama productions in Asia.
In a list of major examples of broadcast content that has been developed overseas, as for dramas, our "Love Stories From Fukuoka" has been mentioned for the fifth time since 2015. In terms of the number of times it has been mentioned, our drama has been the most mentioned in the report since 2015.
